This past Sunday I got mesmerized with the “natural style” of the Architectural Digest Home Design Show at Pier 94 in New York. I invited some friends to go, but unfortunately nobody could go that day… but you know what? Let me tell you something: I did not feel lonely at all! I had a lot fun by myself; enjoying the new trendy design style: the organic, recycled, green, natural (whatever you want to call it). A style that I identify with a lot as a designer who appreciated green design way before it became a trend... I’m glad it came and it seems that it is going to stay for a long time to come!
I took a lot of pictures!!! Check for yourself my day of fun!

Maraú is one of the most beautiful refuges in Bahia/Brazil
Last week I was really busy with work/project; and then, the weekend came. I was exhausted, so I felt like relaxing a little bit! That’s why I haven’t blogged lately… Oh, well! I’ve been also trying to decide about our next (Mike and I) vacation in Brazil. Oh well. Here I came up with a new destination to Brazil… I had Jeri in mind before (you can see about Jeri in my last post under TRAVEL category). In the middle of the state of Bahia – Brazil we found a hidden paradise… Actually one of my best friends has been living there… Yeah! She and her family decided to live an alternative life… in paradise! Good for her and her family! Anyway, that’s how I became familiar with the place… Even, some Brazilians don’t know about Marau.
A little bit info about: the Peninsula of Marau is like an “arm” of the Dende’s Coast - located at the south of Bahia’s coastline. One side of the “arm” is surrounded by the open ocean and the other side by a bay, Camamu. Reading about it I found out that the nickname for the Marau Peninsula is “Brazilian Polynesia”, so you can have an idea… You know Polynesia… The landscape in Marau is really varied...between little islands, small fisherman villages, desert beaches, natural pools, corals, rivers, waterfalls, mangroves and abundant Atlantic jungle.

And of course: GOOD, FRESH AND SPICY "BAHIANA" FOOD!
SHOULD WE GO?! We haven’t decided yet…

SPRING TIME ARRIVING… (maybe…!?)
Today I felt a little bit warmer being outside…even though we still have snow on the ground! Mike and I went for a nice walk in one of our favorite parks around our area, Rockefeller State Park Preserve in Westchester, NY. We came home; we took a nap; I woke up and sat to have lunch, when I started flipping through the pages of RESTORATION HARDWARE OUTDOOR's new catalogue that was sitting on my kitchen table for a week already! Wow! I got so excited about their new outdoor 2010 collection! It’s also so inspiring for my outdoor project going on right now in Manhattan… I really want share that with all of you! You might get inspired too! Which one of their collections do you identify with the most?

A Special Lighting for a Dark Corner
I picked some cool lighting fixture to lighten up that dark corner... Besides the fact that they do the job... they also are an interesting statement of design for any home or office! Which one do you like or identify with the most?
